Hello friends!
Guess what? The moment we’ve all been waiting for has finally arrived – our latest pattern collection is now available starting today! I’m beyond excited to share these designs with you, and I hope you’ll love them as much as I do.
Let’s kick things off with the Lisboa Walking Shorts, shall we? These are classic walking shorts that come in three distinct lengths. With 3â€, 5â€, and 7†inseams included, you can choose the perfect length to suit your style. On the pattern cover, I’m modeling both the 5†and 7†inseams.

These shorts are designed to look polished yet casual, making them ideal for both everyday wear and special occasions. I’ve kept the fit modern while ensuring they’re easy to sew, even for beginners. They feature front pockets and an elastic paper bag waist, which provides comfort without sacrificing style. Plus, there are optional belt loops if you want to add that extra touch of sophistication.
The 5†inseam looks fantastic in cotton chambray too. Check it out:

I wanted these shorts to have a tailored appearance, but not at the expense of ease. They’re surprisingly simple to sew, especially once you get the hang of it. The front pockets are straightforward, and the elastic waist ensures a perfect fit every time. Adding a belt is optional, but it definitely gives them an extra flair.
For those who prefer a quicker sew, we’ve included two variations. View A features welt back pockets, which give the shorts a more sophisticated look. Meanwhile, View B comes with patch back pockets, which are simpler to sew and equally stylish. I must say, I’m quite fond of the welt pockets – they add such elegance to the overall design.

Designing shorts requires a unique approach compared to trousers. The leg width plays a crucial role, and getting the rise and outseam just right is key to achieving that flattering silhouette. I’ve put a lot of thought into the fit, and I truly believe you’ll be happy with the results.

One of the best parts about these shorts is their versatility. Depending on the fabric you choose, they can transition seamlessly from summer to winter. In the photos, I’m wearing linen, cotton chambray, and cotton canvas, but I’ve also experimented with heavy wool. These winter versions were surprisingly cozy, paired with tights and boots. There’s something liberating about wearing shorts in cold weather, and they bring back memories of the Esprit vibe from the 1980s. You can check out my winter shorts in the video below.

Silk, wool suiting, and corduroy are also fantastic options for adding texture and depth to your wardrobe.
