Sharon from the Advisors Circle is back with us again today! If you’ve been following her previous posts, you’ll know she’s shared some fantastic projects like her Grecian-Inspired Marais Dress, the charming Chai Tee, and her go-to Verdun Woven T-shirt. This time around, she’s here to talk about her latest creation—the Fira Top.
As the warmer weather made an early appearance where she lives, Sharon decided it was the perfect opportunity to kick off her summer sewing projects. The Fira Top had caught her eye ever since its release, so she knew it would be the ideal addition to her summer wardrobe. To give it a fresh, summery feel, she opted for a light blue eyelet fabric, pairing it with a lightweight cotton lining. Unfortunately, the exact shade she had in mind wasn’t available, so she took matters into her own hands and dyed a white eyelet fabric to match her vision.

This top turned out to be yet another brilliant pattern by Sharon! She absolutely adores how the neckline comes together—it’s both elegant and functional. The soft gathers on the shoulders and back add a delightful feminine touch while enhancing the overall silhouette of the garment. It’s a piece that effortlessly combines comfort and style.

For those who, like Sharon, have a fuller bust, this pattern is a dream come true. There was no need for any adjustments—she simply followed the instructions as they were. And that’s precisely why she loves this design so much. Instead of making her bust appear larger, it beautifully accentuates her figure through the clever use of darts and subtle gathers at the shoulders.

Sharon can already tell this blouse will see plenty of wear this summer. Its versatility and timeless charm make it a must-have for anyone looking to update their wardrobe with something special. Whether paired with shorts or tucked into high-waisted jeans, this top is sure to become a staple in her closet.
